Hey Myrtle Beach family, it’s Cool Cat coming at you with the best tip for family fun this season. Did you know that Myrtle Beach has a baseball team? That’s right! Our own Myrtle Beach Pelicans are a Class A Affiliate of the Chicago Cubs which means big baseball fun and an inside look at who is knocking on the door of the Major Leagues. That’s coooooool!

 Weekly Events & Promos

Every weekday with a home game has a special promo or event going on at the Pelicans Ballpark at TicketReturn.com Field. Plus, each home game Monday through Saturday will have a pre-game autograph session for the first 15 minutes after the gates open down in sections 103 and 104. Here are the weekdays locals will want to be aware of:

• Half of for Hunger Mondays – Check out the items on the approved list for Backpack Buddies, bring one of those items with you to the field to donate and you receive half off of your admission. You’ll be helping those in need and scoring a sweet discount on your ticket.
• First Responders Fridays – On Fridays, our first responders (Police, Fire, EMT, etc) can get half off their admission with their official ID. Fridays also feature a delish fish fry and craft beer drafts for $2.
• Locals Appreciation Saturdays – Locals get $3 off their tickets for admission with a local ID and enjoy post-game fireworks every single Saturday night.
• Family Sundays – Family Sundays feature free events for kids 12 and under, such as face painting, inflatables, balloon artists and an on-field pre-game catch. And each Sunday will have a different kid-friendly theme. A good time for the whole fam? That’s cooooool!

 Special Events

Along with the events above that take place every single week, the Myrtle Beach Pelicans will also host several special events throughout the season that you won’t want to miss. Here are a few of Cool Cat’s favorites:

• Saturday, May 4, 2019: Military Appreciation Night. The Pelicans will honor our military with a pre-game ceremony.
• Friday, May 31, 2019: Prom Night. Dig out your fancy frocks to wear to the game and party like it’s 1996. We promise it will be way more fun than your original prom night.
• Saturday, June 15, 2019: Deaf Awareness Night. Sign Language interpreters will be on hand to make sure our deaf fans can be part of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans experience.
• Thursday, June 20, 2019: Old School Hip Hop Night. Everybody dance now! Get down with at the pre-game concert featuring DJ Spinderella.
• Saturday, June 22, 2019: Boy Scout Night. Boy Scout night features a post-game campout on the field!
• Friday, July 12, 2019: Lou Piniella in the house!!! Former Chicago Cubs Manager Lou Piniella will make a special appearance and sign autographs.
• Friday, August 9, 2019 & Friday, August 16, 2019: Bark in the Park. Awww, man! Who let the dogs out? The Pelicans did. Pooches are admitted for free when their humans buy a ticket for the Budweiser Thirst Inning Deck.
• Sunday, August 11, 2019: Kids Takeover Night. The kids take over and run the show on this special night.
