Take Me Out to the Ballgame! A Look at the Pelicans 2017 Season Ahead

Are you ready for baseball season? Well, dust off that ball cap and dig out that Pelicans jersey because the Myrtle Beach Pelicans home opener is coming up fast – April 13, 2017 at Field at Pelican’s Ballpark!

Our players return for an exciting new season as two-time defending champions of the Carolina League, a Class-A Advanced Minor League consisting of ten teams from Delaware through South Carolina. Can the Pelicans make it a three-peat?

The Pelicans look to pitchers Jonathan Martinez, Jake Stinnett and Trevor Clifton to strike out the competition as the top pitching crew in the league from 2016. Shored up by batters Gleyter Torres, Jason Vosler and Yasiel Balaguert ready to knock the Pelican’s hitting game out of the park! All eyes will be on Myrtle Beach to see if the Pelicans can slide home a third consecutive championship in the Carolina League.

And if you’re planning to head out to a game, tickets are already on sale. Make sure to keep an eye out for special events and give-aways all summer long! If you can’t make it out to a game, local channel CW 21 will be televising all of the weekend home games this season. You can chill out in your living room recliner and enjoy the action in the comfort of your (well-maintained) air conditioned home. That’s cooooooool!

Hey cool cats, we’ll see you at the ball park this season! Let’s go, Pelicans!
